I have found a killers CD & DVD comb digi-pack for sale on HMV's website, Amazons website, and also on Play.com (website).
I believe that this combo of the CD & DVD on one digi-pack is a great selling point, as it gives the customers the 'best of both' so to speak. It lets the customer / fan of the artist / band get an insight into what their band / artist was like at a live performance or even behind the scenes. Maybe behind the scenes of a music video or a live performance by that band / artist.
I have also looked at the price of the digi-packs for ' The Killers: Live From The Royal Albert Hall (DVD & CD Digipack)' and I was surprised to see that the prices were not that high, considering that in the digi-pack there is a CD and a DVD. The price for this digi-pack ranges from £10-£13. I believe that this price is really good for what you get, in the digi-pack the customer gets :
A live performance on DVD which was Filmed at London's Royal Albert Hall during two very special shows in July, the film highlights how, in five short years, the Las Vegas band has become one of the biggest and most exciting live bands in the world, with the showmanship to match their incredible catalogue of songs.
The CD in the digi-pack has over 20 tracks and the live performance DVD has over 30 tracks on it.
I believe that this digi-pack combo is a great way to show off your artist / band to the customers / fans, its also a great way to promote the personality of the artist further by doing the digi-pack / DVD etc in the style of my artists songs / personality.
For example my digi-pack (CD & DVD combo) would most likely capture the feeling of nature / the woods and also the fact that my artist is very much poetical and uses a piano in most of her songs then there will most likely be a strong influence from that displayed on the cover / inside of the digi-pack.
The example above is only a rough outline of what I intend to produce, but I am sure that I wish to produce a Digi-pack combo for my artist (Alison). as I believe its a great selling point for the artist.
